| Plan a Gift Today- Leave a Legacy Tomorrow | Your support saves lives...
The Foundation would not be able to support the facilities of the Cypress Health Region without the commitment and support of our donors. Our organizational donors include associations, church and social groups, businesses, and foundations. Our individual donors vary in age, background and place of residence. One thing that all of our donors do have in common is a shared commitment to our health care system, and a belief that they can make a difference.
The Foundation is supported by many generous donations from committed individuals who believe in the Foundation and its vision of health care. These gifts are vital to meeting critical and immediate needs. Planned giving is becoming increasingly popular as a way of providing for future needs. The Foundation exists to facilitate giving in a way that helps donors accomplish their philanthropic goals and meet the needs of the Cypress Health Region twenty (20) facilities in a rapidly changing and challenging healthcare environment. Established through sound estate planning, planned gifts provided the donor with the satisfaction of knowing that his or her gift will act as a personal legacy to enrich the lives of others for generations to come. Planned giving options include the following: - Wills and bequests
- Life Insurance
- Gift annuities
- Charitable Remainder Trusts
- Gifts in Kind
- RRSPs/RRIFs
- Stocks and Bonds
- Real estate and farmland
Each option carries its own particular benefit to both donor and the Foundation and should be investigated thoroughly with your financial advisors. We have available an information kit that outlines the various options available. We will gladly provide it to you so you can look it over at your own leisure. Membership in the Foundation's Gifts for Life Society is extended to all donors who include the Dr. Noble Irwin Healthcare Foundation in their estate plans. Members receive permanent recognition at the appropriate level on signage, a charitable receipt for tax purposes as designated by the type of planned gift, the quarterly Foundation newsletter, and they will be invited to an annual recognition event. Donor categories are: - Distinguished Philanthropist: $250,000 or more
- Major Gift: $50,000 to $249,999.99
- Lead Gift: $25,000 to $49,999.99
- Patron: $10,000 to $24,999.99
- Distinguished Friend: $5,000 to $9,999.99
The Dr. Noble Irwin Regional Healthcare Foundation is a unique foundation. We are specifically chartered to raise awareness and funds for the equipment and services of Cypress Health Region so that the highest quality health care will be available for you, your family and your neighbors right here in Southwest Saskatchewan. That is more important than you may realize. While we hope you don’t have the occasion to visit Cypress Regional Hospital for services, it is likely you or someone you know will. Isn’t it nice to know you won’t have to travel out of the southwest or across the country for cutting-edge care? That’s why supporting local organizations like the Dr. Noble Irwin Regional Healthcare Foundation is so important. Your dollars stay here in our community and make a tremendous impact.
As you consider participating in charitable events this winter, we hope you will continue your partnership with Dr. Noble Irwin Regional Healthcare Foundation. Let’s join forces to promote and educate our community about critical health care services and raise enough funds to maintain the excellent care we have all come to expect in our communities throughout southwest Saskatchewan. |
| Your support builds the Gathering Place Wall | The Gathering Place Wall, located on the grounds of the Swift Current Regional Hospital, is a unique way you and your family can support healthcare in the Southwest. Your donation of $100 or more will place your name on a plaque which will be fastened to one of the bricks of the wall -- the bricks that were salvaged from our old hospital. The chart below illustrates the bricks still available, as we are at the halfway point of all bricks being "purchased" through generous donations. See the Gathering Place Wall page for further details.

| What others say about the Foundation At the recent RadioThon, many residents supported the Foundation, and spoke about the work we do. Below is a sample of what was said. You can also listen to the audio clips of interviews. "...Another southwest Saskatchewan success story... The money that is gathered by the Foundation does not cover over government money or government cost reductions it is for scholarships, on-going equipment purchases... This serves as the hub for the region and southwest Saskatchewan needs to support the RadioThon." --David Anderson, M.P. Cypress Hills-Grasslands Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Natural Resource and to the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food for the Canadian Wheat Board. David has lived and farmed near Frontier, SK most of his life. A newer facility with better equipment is something that is going to attract medical professionals to not only want to be in Swift Current but stay here, and that is a huge part of what the Foundation does in attracting the excellent professionals we already have out there… The Foundation has a huge role in improving the quality of healthcare that we have here in southwest Saskatchewan." --Jerrod Schafer, Mayor, City of Swift Current
"The Foundation means a whole lot to the Cypress Health Region and, if you look at the last 10 years they raised over $17 million dollars for the health region... if we did not have the Foundation we would be $17 million dollars to the deficit on capital funding... For the moment one part is for capital equipment, but they have also done a lot of other things for us as far as education." --Tyler Bragg, Chairman, Board of Directors of the Cypress Health Authority, Managing Partner of Pinnacle Financial Services "Dr. Noble Irwin Regional Healthcare Foundation has had a really terrific partnership with the Cypress Health Region over the past many years and, has raised millions and millions of dollars to help support us in capital medical equipment that we need to continue to provide quality care for residents of southwest Saskatchewan. Last year the focus of the RadioThon was for a digital mammography for the Cypress Regional Hospital which supports our entire region for the residents to travel in for that service." --Beth Vachon, CEO, Cypress Health Region
